This website is dedicated to the open source software used and/or developed by www.nederland.net.

www.nederland.net is an Internet Service Provider in The Netherlands. We try to use open source software to implement our services whereever possible. The software development department of www.nederland.net has also written software released under an open source licence. All information about that software can be found on this website.

We use many open source software packages to implement the services we offer. Our servers are based on Red Hat Linux, which includes the Apache webserver, the PHP scripting language, the PostgreSQL database and the MySQL database.

We also try to help these open source projects where we can. We host a Dutch PHP mirror site, we build RPM packages for several Red Hat Linux releases for the omniORB and PostgreSQL projects. In the past we have also written the first PHP open_basedir implementation, although no code of that first implementation remains in the current PHP versions.

www.nederland.net has written several open source software packages. Most of these packages are not in use anymore and will therefore not be maintained. On this website we only present the software that is still actively maintained.

TPL compiler is a template compiler that reads templates written in style similar to the phpBB template style. The output is a Python function that implements the template. When applying the dynamic data to the compiled template it will return a string containing the template with all dynamic data filled in.

This software is used in the web interface to our own account management system.

PyChart is a Python port of PHP/SWF. Create attractive flash charts from dynamic data. Use Python scripts to generate or gather the data from databases, then pass it to this tool to generate Flash (swf) charts.

We have ported this software from Maani to make charts in our webstatistics software. Download the SWF source from Maani and the Python implementation from this site to make it all work.
